Susie deVille, ME, ABR, SFR, is Owner/Broker-in-Charge of White Oak Realty Group. Her areas of expertise include real estate investments, niche marketing, social media, and strategic property positioning. An expert in entrepreneurship and anthropology, Susie applies her acumen in human behavior toward negotiating and advocating on behalf of her clients.

Susie received a Master of Entrepreneurship degree from Western Carolina University as well as the Outstanding Master of Entrepreneurship Student award. She earned with Honors a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is a graduate of the William C. Friday Fellowship for Human Relations, the Duke Certificate Program in Nonprofit Management, and the Western North Carolina Rural Economic Development Institute. Susie earned the Accredited Buyer Representative designation in 2003 and the NAR Short Sales and Foreclosure Certification in 2010.

A native of Highlands and former founding executive director of the Literacy Council of Highlands and the Peggy Crosby Community Service Center, Susie makes a contribution to a local nonprofit in honor of her clients at each closing.

Mallory E. Phillips, III, is Broker & REO Specialist. Born and raised in the Buckhead area of Atlanta, GA, Mal resettled there to attend Emory Law School after graduating from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA (BA in Psychology and Economics). Mal engaged in the practice of labor and employment law for 24 years, representing management as a partner in the Atlanta offices of Fisher and Phillips and then Ford and Harrison.

Having grown up coming to the Highlands plateau, Mal bought a cabin in Highlands in 2001 and launched a retail furniture and accessories business, Twigs. Mal retired from the active practice of law in 2004 and moved to Highlands full time. Intrigued with the unique opportunities to bring his brand of extraordinary service to a new entrepreneurial venture, Mal launched his real estate career in early 2011.

Sheryl L. Wilson is Broker & Strategic Pricing Specialist. She is a native of the Asheville area and graduated from Mars Hills College, earning a degree in Business Administration. Sheryl did her graduate work at Western Carolina University, earning a degree in Masters of Accounting. Sheryl’s business career has spanned the customer service, real estate, and accounting spheres.

Sheryl relocated to the Highlands-Cashiers area in 2010 and launched her real estate career in 2012. She brings a unique passion for providing world-class service to all of her clients and leverages her deep business and accounting background during each and every transaction.

Sheryl is a volunteer with the Highlands-Cashiers Hospital, as well as the Highlands United Methodist Food Pantry.

Wick Ashburn, Broker, and his family have resided in Highlands full time since 1985, when he began his real estate career in the area. Having been a real estate attorney in his native Savannah, GA for twelve years, he and his wife Margie decided to make Highlands home.

In 1987, Wick launched Coldwell Banker Ashburn Real Estate and enjoyed a very successful career earning the company’s highest awards for 14 consecutive years, including the International President’s Elite and the International President’s Premier awards.

Wick is also a past President of Highlands Chamber of Commerce and is an alumnus of the Leadership Highlands Program.

Leslie Ashburn Cook, Broker, having grown up in a family of realtors and land developers from Savannah, GA, comes by her love of real estate quite naturally. She was raised in Highlands and graduated from Newberry College in 2005 with a degree in Math Education. In 2005, she earned her Brokers license and began her real estate career, working alongside her father, Wick.

Leslie has served in many capacities on the Highlands-Cashiers Board of Realtor including Secretary, Treasure and Vice-President, and is also an alumnus of the Leadership Highlands program.
